Inquisitive, creative experimentation using mulberry paper in this series of paintings depicting over- and under- garments allows these images to be translucent and ghostly or opaque and solid as iron. Black grids and strong lines provide a controlled, structural foundation that balances the joyful abandon of color and ink. Consistent use of color, line and layering brings impact and meaning to the imagery.

Within the uneasy relationship of that which is apparent and that which is not is an endless realm of possibility, hope, loss, creation and reinvention.
